Course Summary
Building Distributed Learning Environments is a for educators who want to create a virtual classroom to support classroom students, online learners or a professional community of practice. An experienced facilitator supports participants as they build their shell over an 8-week period of time. The focus is on organizing course tools, effective use of communication tools, strategies for engaging learners and use of online management tools.
Audience
This course is intended for all educators who:
- Have completed the introductory Teaching and Learning Online course.
- Either teach in the classroom, work with online learners or work with other educators
Learner Outcomes
- Participants will create a virtual classroom
- Participants will consider how to support connecting, collaborating and creating in an online environment
- Participants will learn how to choose tools to support learning outcomes
- Personalize learning
