Students enrolling in Work Experience must have an appropriate job placement. Students must complete a minimum of 3 credits (62.5 hours) at their work placement to receive any credits in Work Experience.
HCS 3000 is the pre-requisite for Work Experience. It is highly recommended that students also complete HCS 3010. CBe-learn students are also required to complete CTR1010.

The credits students earn for their work experiences hours appear on transcripts as OTH 1998, OTH 2998 and OTH 3998.

This pathway is ideal for students interested in working with children either in social or human services or education.
This pathway has a strong work-study component which is required for successful completion of these courses. Students must be able and willing to work in an accredited child care facility in order to achieve credit in these courses.
Students who successfully complete CCS 3110 – 3150 may apply for their Level One Child Care Accreditation from the Government of Alberta.
