CBe-learn Diploma Examination Information

CBe-learn students currently enrolled in diploma level course are required to complete diploma exams on site at CBe-learn, according to the published schedule and dates found below. Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the examination start time and bring current Government-Issued Photo Identification (Driver's Licence, Passport, Alberta Identification Card). When arriving at CBe-learn, students will be directed to the examination rooms by posted student lists.

  • Students enrolled in Term 1 are automatically registered to complete diploma exams in January.
  • Students enrolled in Term 2 are automatically registered to complete diploma exams in April for ELA 30-1, Biology 30, and all 30 level Social Studies. Math, Science and ELA 30-2 students registered in Term 2 are registered for exams in June.
  • Students enrolled in Term 3 are automatically registered to complete diploma exams in June for all subjects.
  • Students enrolled in Term 4 are automatically registered to complete diploma exams in August for all subjects.

Any student who is not registered for an exam, but wishes to take one may do so by attending Alberta Education's walk in testing location at SAIT in January, June or August.  Please contact Alberta Education directly for more information at their website education.alberta.ca.

Re-writing Diploma Exams

If you are writing a diploma exam for a second time, you are required to complete the Diploma Exam Rewrite Fee Form and submit it, with payment, to Alberta Education. Without this form and payment, exam marks and final course marks will not be released for your transcript.

Accommodation Applications for Diploma Exams

In order to receive an accommodation on a diploma exam, applicatns must be receiving the same accommodations in our Testing Centre and/or in your course assessment. To apply for an accommodation, complete the student section of the following form and submit it to your online teacher.

If you are applying for an accommodation related to English as a Second Language (ESL), complete the student section of the form, have your current ESL teacher and the most recent ESL proficiency test scores recorded, and then submit to your online teacher to review and finalize the application.

Photo Identification:

  • Government-Issued Photo ID is required for all students writing a diploma exam..
  • School-issued Photo ID will not be accepted in the Testing Centre for diploma exams..
